Unable to download full data base it starts all over again, Not even on 10mb/s internet. Its loot of 9$. No email replies.

With the great new look and fixed issues, this app is finally worthy of my home screen once again.

I used to love this app. But it mysteriously disappeared one day I there is no obvious way to get it back. The app reloads, but no database. Now its worthless.

I purchased Wiki Offline several weeks ago and up to now I am still unable to download the database. When I download, it will stop in middle and then I would have start all over again. Now after so many tries, it doesnt even download anymore. When I click on "resume" it does not download or resume the download. Im stuck. I have written to their support email, I hope they will attend to this. Previously I was able to download their earlier version and I was quite happy with it. When I upgraded it, thats when the problem started. Now I cant use it anymore.

Could not get download. Paid $14 for app and update avocadohills.com the developers do not Help or respond plus Apple will not help or get Rid of the app.

Like others, I cant download the thing. Emailed support 3 days ago but havent heard back.

I have tried every version of this program and have tried writing the "Outfit" who made this application and they dont respond. Please note the *** in the paragraph below. This is what happened to me. Look at the other reviewers opinions and take heed. ALL OF THE APPLICATIONS THAT THIS OUTFIT MAKES WILL NOT DOWNLOAD THE DATABASES PAID FOR. They are now pushing a NEW Wiki program on their website. I clicked the GET IT NOW button and discovered that it is another version that I already purchased sometime ago. Guess what? It wont download the promised database, not even Simple English. Personally, I am going to see if Apple will remove Avocado Hills from the Store. Please join us in getting rid of worthless scammers in the Apple Store? ***Be careful not to Champlain too much as the will cut you off. It happened to me the day after I complained about nag-screens. The next day-my program stopped working. I downloaded the version two and am ok, but well see what happens tomorrow again.

I love this app !!! It is nice to have an Encyclopedia that does not use data every time you use it. It has been reliable with no problems and good support. Money well spent for a tool used daily. Uses about 3 1/2 GB on your mobile device, so take that into consideration. It takes a while to download I had to try five times because files are large but when you get it WOW it is super. I highly recommend it. —

There was a time and a place where this app worked great, wiki downloads would resume correctly, it was an amazing time. Now you cant even start downloading the wiki database let alone use the app for anything. Both versions are broken. Avoid like the plague.

I wouldnt even give this a star, but it made me select something. But honestly worthless app!!! Remove from the App Store!! I want a refund to my account, cause this isnt the first time Ive found a worthless app!!

I had Wiki Offline with a previous version and an earlier iOS, but I have not been able to get any articles or re-download the English version. I would either like it to get back to working and download or I would like a reimbursement of the cost of this app.

I pay for wiki offline 1 why dont you upgrade it to the new ios. Why should i pay another 9 $ to buy wiki 2. Now jus because i upgrade my ipad to ios 9.2 wiki 1 is useless. This is ridiculous. THATS NOT FAIR. Its ok. I use it online for free. No problem

Unable to download the databases

I previously had a prior version of this app a few years ago and was quite pleased with it. I wish I would have read the updated reviews before I purchased the new version. It is 100% worthless in every way and Apple should be ashamed for letting these people steal money. Run, do not walk.

I used to use this app, but deleted due to space requirements. Just got a new iphone with tons of memory, but the files won’t download. Seems to be broken. :(

Worked well for a while, then would not allow access, couldnt even update. I am trying it again, even though I never got a response when I asked for help. One more time I will pay for it, then I will "blow it off if further problems!!". Russ in N J I love the re-installation, I can now also go to the web wiki, when at a wifi location to get further information. If this continues to work -- For now, A 5 star rating!!!

I really want to like this app, but it has some deal-breakers. First, downloading the English Wikipedia takes an hour or so. Thats understandable. Its a lot of data. The problem is that the download failed several times. Whenever the connection died, the app didnt auto-resume. I had to manually start the download again. Second, navigating is tricky. Swiping left/right from the edge doesnt go forward or back. I didnt see any forward/back buttons until I selected text on the page. This is very unintuitive. Long-pressing on these buttons does nothing. The only way to see your history is under the bookmarks menu, and that intersperses history across tabs. Third, the top navbar shows what you last searched for, not the name of the article youre currently viewing. Its odd. If these UI annoyances were fixed, it would be a totally different experience. Until then, I cant really recommend this app. ☹️

Smooth, easy to read, fast, and reliable. Cant imagine life without it.
