Wiki Offline — A Wikipedia Experience App Reviews

was advised not to get this version of Wiki Offline for IOS 9, but its working fine on my new iPhone 6S and iPad Pro. the reviews were so bad for Wiki Offline2, that I got version 1. would version have been a better choice ? Support sucks as developer does not respond to tech support emails. BUT... its working.

After update the app crash when I search.

I have now figured how to get the app going and it works fairly well. It does sometimes, however, seem to crash and the search could be faster but still a good app.

I have no problems with Japanese & English database. The author always gives a prompt support. I like this software very much. 日本語と英語のデータを同時に利用出来ます。 サポートのほうも丁寧で速いです。 大満足です。

Im often away with no wireless available, so this app is most useful. Highly recommended.

I use the English, German, and Japanese Wikipedia every day, for study as well as for fun. The design is beautiful and that I can download the pictures and graphics is very helpful. When I updated my iPod to iOS 5 there were some problems, but thanks to the prompt help by Avocado Hills Support now everything is fine again. The app is great as everybody can see, and the service is great too.

Having the worlds most complete encyclopedia on a portable device anywhere you go is a real treasure! Its always fun to study something new while on the way to work or way back home. It makes my iPod touch much more valuable when offline . Love it

Love the night mode and the lay out of the app. Always nice being able to quickly look up info or just browse without the wait. Learning a lot about World War Two, Japanese history, and other stuff. A few tweaks could make this great app even better, such as orientation lock for iPhone, faster way to get to table of contents, and the ability to look at clickable pics (Canada article).

I advice every body who needs to get information quickly and wherever you are, donot hesitate to get this app

Very useful, practical.

It is really a fascinating app to bring the whole wiki to offline mode. However, the current database updating will cost you more than before. It was around $1 to update your database once (a token = $1). Now subscription has replaced tokens, which means you will have to pay around $5 for one month subscription. I am sure most users wont download database update 5 times a month unless they are using wiki in five different languages. So, now I need to pay five times more than I needed to pay in the past, cause I am not a frequent updater. This is my 2 star rating for updating feature.

Great work with the new update, tabbed browsing is awesome, there is just one little problem, polish diacritical marks dont work in the menu, in wiki they do.. Thanks

Main bug in Russian language support is: you need to type directly the name of the article. Example: Ussr (Ссср)- no result, USSR (CCCP)- good. Then sometimes it gives stupid results: Spain (Испания) - you have 22 results, and only at 12 pos. is Kingdom Spain (Королевство Испания). Plus it really needs tables support. Wait for updates.

A brilliant application. Its support by the developer is even more impressive - quick, effective and up to the point!

Plus, you need to pay extra for databases!!!

This app is very usefull, but guys, please-plz-please make search in a russian database case _insensitive_ and text selection not so crazy - try yourself to select a word in russian! Thank you in advance!)))
