Dont like to read outdated version(may2012) update pls

Apps search just sux. Why i cant find what i want by one keyword?! Why i must enter whole and right keywords that equals an article title?

No working!!often crashing..But rarely it works..

Best one. Had a problem downloading a database. Was solved promptly through a manual download. Excellent customer support. An option to switch languages from the main screen would be welcomed.

This is a very useful app to manage Wikipedia information in a flexible way. I recommend its use.

The new app for ios 7 is exactly the same and the price is 9€!!! I have already payed the first version 9€ and now you want me to pay again? It s a shame!!!

I have tried every version of this program and have tried writing the "Outfit" who made this application and they dont respond. Please note the *** in the paragraph below. This is what happened to me. Look at the other reviewers opinions and take heed. ALL OF THE APPLICATIONS THAT THIS OUTFIT MAKES WILL NOT DOWNLOAD THE DATABASES PAID FOR. They are now pushing a NEW Wiki program on their website. I clicked the GET IT NOW button and discovered that it is another version that I already purchased sometime ago. Guess what? It wont download the promised database, not even Simple English. Personally, I am going to see if Apple will remove Avocado Hills from the Store. Please join us in getting rid of worthless scammers in the Apple Store? ***Be careful not to complain too much as the will cut you off. It happened to me the day after I complained about nag-screens. The next day, my program stopped working. I downloaded version 2 and found even more problems. See my rating there and note the "36 years remaining in download time."

After about a year and a half of craping all over their customers, Avocado Hills appears to have "fixed things". I have an iPad generation 3, 64 GB version WiFi only and am running ios 9.2. I was able to download the English version (about 4.5 gigs) with no problems! It took about an hour. Its running pretty smooth. Hope this helps. Today is 8/19/16.

My Current Review: A few years ago I reviewed this app and loved it (see Previous Review below). NOW Im warning you to not waste your time on it - like I did for the last few days. Apple should not let Avocado collect money for this non-working app. Avocado should quit remove this app until it works reliably and stop charging money for the database until they speed up their server and resolve the database download issues. Im an experienced Mac and iPad Pro user, so I know when something works and when it doesnt. When I let the app download the database, it sometimes downloaded a defective copy or slowed down to about 1 byte/second and (like others have said) claimed it would take 27 days to finish downloading. So next I spent several hours (per Avocados email instructions) downloading the four database files to my iMac, then used iTunes (the instructions are minimal) to transfer the database files into my iPad and then ran Wiki Offline. Even tho the transferred files showed up appropriately in iTunes under the Wiki Offline app, the app itself didnt know they were there, so it continued to try downloading them again via wifi - with the same failed results I mentioned above. After about 8 hours of frustration with this app, I instead bought the minipedia app and it works just fine. My Previous Review: I travel a lot, often to where there is limited wifi and where I dont have a local SIMM card for cellular coverage. Now, in preparation for a two month trip to Africa, I want to be able to look up towns, animal preserves, etc. when I have no Internet connection. Ive been testing this app for that purpose on my iPad and it seems to work wonderfully!

i use this a lot. i like the new (?) feature of caching images, etc. ( not part of the Wikipedia download, as that would be too large) when connected online. the initial database download will restart, which is good. but, it seems to restart from zero each time, which is too bad. i would like to see "redirected from <WHEREVER>", with that actual Wikipedia title, so i can recognize the "aliases" (so i know ive already seen the article). cheers!

Not support the language settings for farsi...crash and stoped for iphone 6 No font for Persian---Slow to Farsi very very bad for iphone6 and language farsi Please address the problem ...

A must-have when internet is not available, or just dead slow.

This is one of my favorite apps! A whole encyclopedia at my fingertips! It does use up a lot of memory, but thats to be expected. I use it on my iPod, so Im not always online. This is a perfect way to keep my mind fresh and answer questions throughout the day.

Search function does not work. Links within articles do not work. Very disappointed about this version. Had used this app few years ago and was very excited to purchase it again. Its not the same. I cant even read an entire article without freezes couple times. Please fix.

Do not buy this app. I have owned every single wiki offline app, this has the best features but fails so often and has so many bugs, that is useless. Avocado doesnt answer emails, it seems that this app has been abandoned by their creators.

Its thorough it takes a lot of memory but thorough.

Previous app stopped working entirely, so deleted an redownloded. English version took almost two days to download entirely on normal wifi connection, and then froze on the "like our app screen". Well, no, wiki offline, I dont like your app anymore.

Asks for a rating then freezes.
